ASLA Student Chapter Activities 2003-2004
The ASLA Student Chapter announces a new website. The site is full of pictures, and is a great introduction to all of the activities available for current students. It is also a great place for our alums to keep in touch with current activities.
The student ASLA program is a society open to all undergraduate landscape architecture majors. The society works to help create a community amongst fellow undergrads, provide students with opportunities for internships and design competitions, as well as help prepare students for the profession after graduation.Activities:
- Barbeque–This year was the first year of what hopes to be an annual kick off meeting open to all professionals, faculty, and students in landscape architecture.

Professional Speaker Series–Distinguished speakers in the field of landscape architecture.
Mentorship Program–A program that creates mentor groups of 3-4 students of varying levels, in addition to pairing them off with a professional in landscape architecture.
Student Speaker Series–various students give small presentations of their internship experience.
Elegance in Site Design Competition–departmental design competition open to all undergraduate students in landscape architecture.
